Big Wind In Montcalm Township

Recently it became apparent that APEX, a big wind turbine company, is looking into building large wind turbines in Montcalm County. This process has been going on for over a year and many local residents have already been approach to sign lease agreements with APEX. APEX is looking to build turbines 600ft tall in our area. Local ordinances in place currently do not allow for this tall of a structure. Montcalm Township Planning Committee is in the process of amending the local ordinance in order to allow APEX to build these large turbines in our community.
APEX has given their recommendation on the changes to the local ordinance and NOW is the time for the citizens of Montcalm Township to give their opinions and recommendations. It is time for citizens to make their voices heard to let our local government officials know how we feel about this and the changes that are being proposed.
